Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect information across the LEDGERA website and digital services.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 12, 2026

LEDGERA Magazine (“LEDGERA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is published by Last Shot Media Group Holdings. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit ledgeramagazine.com, subscribe to updates, contact us, create an account, or interact with our digital features. It does not govern independent third-party websites that we link to.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. We collect information you choose to submit, such as your email address for newsletters; your name, email address, organization, topic and message when you use our contact form; and account-registration or profile information, such as your name, email address, display name, optional location and interests. Membership inquiries may also include the access plan you select. If you send an editorial pitch or materials, we receive the information and files you provide.

Information collected automatically. When you access our website, our hosting, security, analytics and advertising services may process your IP address, approximate location derived from that address, device and browser characteristics, page views, referral sources, interactions, cookies and similar identifiers. Our newsletter signup may record the signup source and a referral code.

Account credentials. Sign-in and authentication are handled through our identity service. Please do not send passwords or payment-card information through contact forms.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the website; provide editorial content and member features; create and manage accounts; respond to messages and editorial submissions; send newsletters and issue announcements to subscribers; manage subscriptions and referrals; analyze website performance; display and measure advertising; prevent misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and site usage, and Google AdSense or related Google advertising technologies to deliver or measure advertisements. These technologies may use cookies, device identifiers and browsing activity, including information used for interest-based advertising. Essential hosting, login and anti-abuse services may also use cookies or similar storage. We may store a newsletter referral code in your browser so signups can be attributed to a referral link.

You can control or delete many cookies through your browser settings. You can review Google's advertising preferences at My Ad Center and learn about Google Analytics opt-out options at Google Analytics Opt-out. Browser restrictions and opt-out tools may not prevent all essential or third-party data processing.

4. When information is shared

We use service providers to run the website and communicate with you, including Netlify for hosting, web forms and identity services; Resend or other email delivery services for newsletters; and Google for analytics and advertising. Where an embedded video or other third-party content is used, its provider (such as YouTube) may receive technical information when the content loads. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy notices, subject to the arrangements that apply to our services.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business reorganization or transfer. Advertising partners' use of identifiers and browsing data may qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws, even where no personal-information list is sold for money.

5. Your choices and privacy rights

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in our messages. Service-related or account-security communications may still be sent where necessary.

Accounts. You can update certain profile information through your account. To request help with access, correction or deletion, use the contact process below.

Privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to opt out of certain advertising-related sharing or targeted advertising. To exercise a right or raise a concern, submit a privacy request through our contact form and write “Privacy Request” in the message. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some legal exceptions may apply. You may also contact us through that form to ask about available advertising opt-out options.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including maintaining active subscriptions and accounts, responding to inquiries, securing services, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of record and provider. When data is no longer needed, we seek to delete or de-identify it as appropriate.

7. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards and service-provider protections designed to reduce unauthorized access, loss and misuse, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries outside your own, where privacy laws may differ.

8. Children's privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review the request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Significant changes may also be communicated through the website or our usual communication channels when appropriate.

10. Contact

For privacy inquiries, data requests or concerns, contact LEDGERA Magazine, published by Last Shot Media Group Holdings, through our contact form. Include “Privacy Request” and enough detail for us to understand your request; please do not include passwords or other sensitive credentials.
