Nike's Weekly Drop Leans on Archive Shapes, Highsnobiety Says

Seven Nike pairs, from a GORE-TEX Air Force 1 Mid to a darker Moon Shoe OG, are listed as available now in Highsnobiety's weekly roundup, which praises the brand's archive-first approach.

Highsnobiety's latest weekly Nike roundup picks seven sneakers, and the outlet lists every one of them as available now. Its argument: a great release does not need to reinvent footwear, and Nike is at its best when it draws on its own back catalog while rivals chase viral silhouettes and attention-grabbing collaborations.

The outlet frames the week as a mix of a high-top all-weather staple, a boot-sneaker hybrid and a moody low-profile runner, timed for early spooky season. It also warns that some pairs may sell out quickly.

Weather-ready and boot-minded

The Air Force 1 Mid '07 GORE-TEX Vibram takes the Mid, which Highsnobiety calls the underrated counterpart to the Low, into outdoor territory. It has a waterproof leather upper, the signature ankle strap and a Vibram sole.

The Air Max Goadome Low SP leans further into its boot roots. Highsnobiety describes a Taupe, Black and University Red colorway with a brown leather upper, rugged hardware, a lugged outsole and Nike Air cushioning, evoking hikers and workwear.

Running, skate and city wear

The Moon Shoe OG arrives in anthracite and black with a hint of Safety Orange. Highsnobiety points to its lightweight nylon upper, large leather Swoosh and waffle sole, and reads the darker palette as a departure from sunnier vintage looks.

On the skate side, the Nike SB PS8 gets a layered Flyknit upper with leather reinforcement where wear is heaviest. A Flyplate and a lightweight HART rubber outsole sit underfoot, which the outlet cites as proof that technical design has reached skate shoes.

The Air Max Metro is pitched as a city sneaker. It pairs a nearly full-length Air unit with Cushlon 3.0 foam, plus a mesh, suede and synthetic leather upper in Light Photo Blue, Illusion Green and black, finished with a speckled midsole.

Two Air Force 1s with a story

The Air Force 1 "University of Oregon" nods to Nike's long relationship with the Ducks while skipping the school's green and yellow. Highsnobiety says an all-black suede upper carries tonal Oregon "O" and Duck mascot details.

The Air Force 1 '01 'College Grey and Pink Glaze' uses shaggy grey suede, pink accents and a matching outsole. Highsnobiety reads it as a rat-themed nod, complete with a MetroCard-inspired hangtag, and notes that the revived '01 shape has a slimmer toe box.
