Turnstile ended their Never Enough tour with the biggest headline show of their career. An estimated 60,000 people turned out for the band's free benefit concert at the Washington Monument on Saturday, Oct. 24, NME and Consequence reported.
The show was organized with Human Concern International, with fans invited to donate toward humanitarian relief work. The band had set a $100,000 goal when it announced the concert earlier this month, and NME said that target was reportedly met before the music started. By Sunday, Consequence reported, the total had passed $220,000; NME, citing several outlets, put it at more than $200,000.
A 75-minute set
Frontman Brendan Yates, who had spent the day before icing an ankle injured after weeks on the road, according to The Washington Post, led the band through a 19-song, 75-minute set. It opened with the Grammy-winning "Birds" and ran through "Real Thing," "Endless," "Mystery" and "Magic Man" before closing with "Never Enough" and "T.L.C. (Turnstile Love Connection)."
Yates told the crowd they had gathered around music to celebrate humanity and to fight for it, urging fans to be loud enough to be heard at the White House, before leading the chant: "Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!"
Before the show, he told the Post that the setting felt like home and described music as a reflection of the people who make it and of the world around them, both its struggles and its joy.
A banner year
The concert carried echoes of local punk history: Fugazi famously played free shows near the monument in the 1990s.
It also capped a huge year for the band, which won its first two Grammys in 2026, including Best Rock Album for Never Enough, made its Saturday Night Live debut this month and released Never Enough: Versions, a reworked edition of the album with collaborators ranging from Elton John and Four Tet to Hayley Williams, Julien Baker and Blood Orange. Turnstile are next due at Camp Flog Gnaw in November before returning to festivals in 2027.
