You Can See Everything, from Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder, has out-sold every other A24 title in presales at Alamo Drafthouse, and it trails only Avengers: Doomsday.

A24's documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is selling tickets at a record pace. According to Deadline, presales for You Can See Everything at Alamo Drafthouse are the best the chain has seen for any A24 title, and for any documentary it has played.

Second Only to Avengers

Deadline reported that the film is currently the No. 2 presales title at the Sony-owned chain. Only Disney and Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday ranks higher, and that film does not open until December 18. You Can See Everything begins a limited release on October 16.

Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder directed the three-hour film. Deadline describes it as having been shot in secret in early 2023, during the days before Holmes went to federal prison. The film follows her in extended conversations with Fielder as she and partner Billy Evans plan a second version of Theranos. Fielder also questions Evans, the father of Holmes' children.

Early Reception and a Star-Studded Screening

The documentary arrived with a surprise world premiere. Deadline's Pete Hammond gave it a platinum review, and the film currently holds a 100% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes from 20 reviews.

On Tuesday night, the Academy Museum hosted a special screening. Deadline listed Obsession director Curry Barker, Lanterns co-creator Damon Lindelof, Alex Winter, composer Nathan Johnson, producer David Permut and actress Clea DuVall among the guests. Bill Hader moderated a Q&A with Fielder and Oppenheim after the film.

Oppenheim's Other Release

Oppenheim also has his first narrative feature in theaters. Primetime, another A24 release, stars Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen. Deadline said it has grossed more than $35 million to date.
