Florence Pugh and Finn Cole Make Their Red Carpet Debut Together

At the BFI London Film Festival premiere of In the Shadows, Pugh in Wiederhoeft and Cole in Brioni showed a couple style built on contrast rather than matching outfits.

Florence Pugh and Finn Cole have now appeared on a red carpet together. According to Vogue, the couple attended the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Cole's new film, In the Shadows, with Pugh pausing her East of Eden press duties to back her boyfriend. Vogue noted that they skipped matching outfits, but their looks still worked well side by side.

Pugh: romance and detail

Pugh wore a gown from Wiederhoeft's spring 2027 collection, put together with her longtime collaborator Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Vogue reported. Her accessories included silver Aquazzura sandals, a Bulgari Wild Pop necklace, high-jewelry earrings and a scattering of fine diamond piercings by Maria Tash.

The glam team was Hyungsun Ju on hair, with a bow-like half-up, half-down style, Celia Burton on makeup and Dawn Sterling, known as Nailglam, on nails. Vogue described the result as sweet and sensual, and as an extension of the softer, dreamier direction Pugh has taken during the East of Eden campaign, which has included designs by Rodarte, Patrick McDowell and Vivienne Westwood.

Cole: classic tailoring

Cole stayed with the dark, sharply cut tailoring Vogue identified as his usual territory. Working with stylist Tom O'Dell, he chose a lightweight chocolate-brown double-breasted Brioni suit, plus a striped cotton shirt and a brown wool-and-silk Brioni tie.

He added a Cartier watch and a silver tie clip he supplied himself. His shoes were tasseled loafers by Grenson, with white socks.

Why it matters

Vogue's verdict was that the pair looked cohesive without being coordinated: Pugh leaned into embellishment, Cole into menswear fundamentals. For a first joint appearance, that is a low-key way to present a partnership, with each person's style left intact. Vogue closed by saying it hopes to see more of them.
