Mia Goth filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf on October 6, Vulture reported, ending a marriage that lasted about a decade. Goth listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason and gave July 28, 2025 as the date the two separated. She is also asking for primary custody of their 4-year-old child.
A Separation Already in the Headlines
The split first became public earlier this year, according to Vulture, when LaBeouf was arrested on two charges of simple battery. He ultimately received probation. Vulture's account adds that he was also alleged to have harassed locals and shouted homophobic slurs. At the time, it was reported that he had gone there to be nearer to family after separating from Goth.
In a conversation with Channel 5's Andrew Callaghan earlier this year, LaBeouf discussed the separation and described Goth as "one of the best girls that's ever lived."
FKA Twigs Drops Her Suit
The divorce filing arrived the same day as other legal news for LaBeouf. Vulture reported that FKA Twigs, his ex-girlfriend, agreed on October 6 to drop her suit against him after he agreed to void the nondisclosure agreement that had kept her from speaking about their relationship.
That NDA was part of a 2025 settlement. It resolved a suit Twigs filed in 2020 accusing LaBeouf of sexual battery and assault, per Vulture.
What Comes Next
Vulture's report does not say how the custody request will be handled or give a timeline for the divorce proceedings.
