Slayyyter Shares Self-Directed Video for “I Think He’s Got a Girl”

The new single from Wor$t Man in America trades her recent heavy bangers for a wounded, guitar-forward ballad about infidelity. The album arrives December 4 via Columbia Records.

Slayyyter has released “I Think He’s Got a Girl,” the newest single from Wor$t Man in America, her fourth studio album. A video she directed herself arrived with it. The record is due December 4 via Columbia Records, according to Consequence, Pitchfork and Rolling Stone.

A softer, grungier turn

Consequence described the song as a change of pace from the throttling bangers that have defined much of her recent output. It is more introspective and vulnerable, tracking the moments right after she learns a partner is cheating. The sound is dreamier and grungier, with a guitar-forward chorus, and the outlet called the perspective moodier and more wounded than her usual fare.

Rolling Stone quoted lines in which she sings about a partner who lies every time he talks and goes quiet on the phone, before the chorus delivers the title. Both Consequence and Rolling Stone tie the song to “Unknown Loverz” from Wor$t Girl in America, describing it as an inverse of that track.

Consequence lists it as the fifth of the album’s nine tracks.

The video

Rolling Stone said the visual places her alone in a luxe home, in a series of vintage outfits and pinup poses. She lounges in a pool, barbecues and moves through different rooms while the relationship comes apart. Pitchfork said the clip blends a glamorous starlet look, with coiffed curls and a white halter swimsuit, and a dress made from a raccoon pelt alongside a flaming charcoal grill.

The album and a source discrepancy

Wor$t Man in America is a companion to Wor$t Girl in America, which came out in March 2026. Consequence reports that the new album is made up of entirely new songs. It will partly explore the earlier record’s themes from an inverted angle while adding new ones.

Rolling Stone quoted Slayyyter on the thinking behind the project: “I want to live here for a little longer, so I’m kind of making an inverse album, if you will.”

The outlets differ on the earlier singles. Consequence names “brand new chanel$” and “crank 2” as the two released so far and says both revisit material from the predecessor. Pitchfork likewise says “Brand New Chanel$” reimagines “Beat Up Chanel$.” Rolling Stone lists “Crank 2” and “Beat Up Chanel$,” the latter described as a new take on “Brand New Chanel$.” Consequence’s tracklist opens with “brand new chanel$.”

What comes next

Pitchfork reports that she has been trying out the new material live on her Wor$t Girl in America tour. The tour continues later this year and extends into early 2027.

Consequence notes that her year has also included a late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a reworking of “BIRDS” for Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS and a cover of Hole’s “Violet” for triple j’s Like a Version series.
