M By Elegance remains the TNA Knockouts Television Champion after a time-limit draw with Elayna Black on Thursday's episode of TNA Impact, Wrestling Inc. reported. The bell sounded before the referee could reach three on Black's final pin attempt. It was the second time the clock has ended a Black bout in this title picture.
A Match Without Backup
According to Wrestling Inc., M asked for the rest of the Elegance Brand to be barred from ringside, and that request was granted. She still leaned on rough tactics. At one point she pulled Black outside, aiming to stomp on her hand against the steel steps, but Black slipped away and turned the move around on M. Black then put M through a suplex on the floor.
Back inside, M kicked Black in the corner and hit a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. She followed with an arm bar while twisting Black's fingers, then added a knee to the ribs and a dropkick along the apron.
Down to the Final Seconds
Late in the bout, M climbed to the top rope for a moonsault and instead landed on the mat, where Black met her with a knee to the face. After another suplex, M rolled outside to ask how much time remained. The two exchanged roll-ups once she returned, and Black connected with a Black Out, but the time limit expired during the cover that followed.
How They Got Here
M won the championship by beating Jada Stone in the tournament finals on August 27, per Wrestling Inc. Black's tournament run ended in the opening round against former NXT star Wendy Choo, when both were disqualified as the 10-minute limit ran out. Black earned this rematch-style opportunity by winning a fatal-four-way match.
The result keeps the title with M, while Black has now twice come up short against the same time cap.
