Je'Von Evans and Penta are getting their shot at The Vision. Adam Pearce announced on Raw that the pair will challenge Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the WWE World Tag Team Championships at Crown Jewel, Fightful and Wrestling Inc. reported.
It will be The Vision's first title defense since they won the belts on the July 7 episode of Raw, according to Wrestling Inc.
How it came together
The match grew out of the show's opener, in which Evans challenged Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship. Penta made his way out with his briefcase, but Breakker attacked him before he could cash in. After Zayn retained, he stepped aside and let Breakker beat down Evans. Penta tried to make the save, only for Bronson Reed to flatten Evans and then Penta with Tsunamis.
Backstage, Evans told Pearce he was not finished, and Penta pushed for a tag title opportunity. Pearce suggested Crown Jewel, Penta agreed, and the match was made official.
The Crown Jewel card
The tag bout joins a growing lineup. Women's Champion Chelsea Green will face Women's World Champion Liv Morgan for the women's Crown Jewel Championship, and World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will meet Zayn for the men's version. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are also set for a Last Man Standing match, announced on SmackDown.
