AEW will stage its 2026 Winter Is Coming editions of "Dynamite" and "Collision" at Arena Monterrey, according to Wrestling Inc. FOX Sports MX made the first announcement on October 9, saying "Dynamite" will air live on Wednesday, December 9. "Collision" will be taped at the same venue and shown on Saturday, December 12.
Tickets and what is set
Fans can buy tickets through SuperBoletos. A pre-sale runs Tuesday, October 13, and general sales open Friday, October 16.
No matches have been officially signed yet, Wrestling Inc. noted. One thing is locked in: the 2026 Continental Classic tournament will have matches at the show. The outlet describes the tournament as an annual fixture in the final months of AEW's year.
A third AEW trip
Wrestling Inc. counts this as the third AEW event in the country. The first two were the 2025 and 2026 editions of AEW Grand Slam Mexico, both held at Arena Mexico.
Why the special carries weight
Winter Is Coming has produced several major "Dynamite" moments since it began in 2020. Sting debuted on the first edition, and Kenny Omega won his first AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley on the same show. In 2021, Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson wrestled to a 60-minute draw. Toni Storm returned to the company on the 2024 special.
Last year, Samoa Joe defended the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston, and The Babes of Wrath became the first AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions. With the card still blank, that record is the bar the December tapings will be measured against.
